Clearance: Active Top-Secret (TS) clearance with Full Scope Polygraph eligibility
Position Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Audio/Video Technician to support advanced audiovisual operations in a secure government environment in Washington, DC. This position plays a key role in the planning, installation, operation, and maintenance of sophisticated AV systems and requires an active Top-Secret clearance with Full Scope Polygraph eligibility. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in AV technology, digital media, and systems integration.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, test, and calibrate professional audio-visual equipment to support secure meetings, briefings, and live events
- Perform routine diagnostics and preventative maintenance to ensure peak system performance
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for AV issues involving audio, video, and integrated control systems
- Assist with editing and post-production of recorded material using industry-standard software
- Digitally record and photograph a range of secure or operational activities, ensuring all content is handled by security protocols
- Lead the technical design, installation, and operation of advanced AV solutions including conferencing, streaming, and presentation technologies
- Evaluate and recommend the acquisition and implementation of new AV hardware and software solutions based on emerging technologies
- Use various software platforms to program, monitor, and manage AV system health, including remote diagnostics and logging
- Work independently and use sound judgment in support of mission-critical operations
Required Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for Full Scope Polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or four (4) years of equivalent field experience
- Strong hands-on experience with professional AV systems including installation, configuration, and support
- Familiarity with digital audio/video editing tools and control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS)
- Proven ability to assess, recommend, and implement AV technologies that meet operational needs
- Ability to operate independently and manage tasks in a high-security, fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in classified or government facilities
- Technical certifications in AV technologies (e.g., CTS, Crestron, Dante)
- Working knowledge of networking principles as they relate to AV systems (AV over IP)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-focused approach
