Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced data and IT solutions in support of mission-critical operations. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic vision to architect efficient, secure, and scalable systems across application development, infrastructure, and integration layers.
The Senior Data Architect will work across multiple engagements, coordinating with consulting teams, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure data-driven solutions meet operational and intelligence needs. The role involves translating complex business and security requirements into actionable, high-impact architectures and overseeing their successful execution.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop robust, scalable data architectures and system integration strategies that support FBI applications and infrastructure.
- Lead solution development efforts across multiple technical engagements, managing deliverables and collaborating with consultants, developers, and engineers.
- Analyze and optimize data models, workflows, and system interfaces to improve performance, security, and mission alignment.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into architectural frameworks and technical specifications that align with enterprise standards.
- Provide expert guidance on data governance, architecture standards, metadata, and data lifecycle management within federal IT environments.
- Support infrastructure planning efforts, including cloud integration, modernization initiatives, and security compliance (e.g., FISMA, NIST).
- Deliver architectural blueprints, documentation, and status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensure consistency, quality, and scalability across solutions, identifying and mitigating risks throughout the development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship and an active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture, enterprise system design, or large-scale IT solution development.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, integration patterns, application architecture, and infrastructure planning.
- Demonstrated experience with federal or highly regulated environments, including understanding of acquisition and compliance processes.
- Proficiency with data platforms, ETL frameworks, APIs, cloud technologies, and DevSecOps principles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business perspectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
- AWS/Azure Cloud Architecture Certifications
- CISSP, CISM, or other relevant security certifications
